Our story began in 1989 when,
inspired by the natural beauty
surrounding their home on the Isle
of Arran, Janet and Iain Russell
started handcrafting luxurious
fragrant soaps. Keen to gift
visitors to the island an
unforgettable memento of their stay,
the collection soon evolved into
bath, body, home fragrance and
perfumery products; each aromatic
blend named after an island

We’ve grown significantly since
those early days, though always held

About Us
Co-Founder Robin Borum
His hunger for knowledge stems from his
history as a Royal Marines Commando, which then flowed
over continuing his education to Engineering and then
into the Offshore Oil & Gas sector. His determination to
turn information into action has contributed to his most
recent success at Duke & Dutch. There; working alongside
his business partner creating international campaigns
and connecting heavy hitters such as BrewDog and The
London Sock Co.
Meanwhile, vastly improving the
productivity of his co-owned Gift company Duke & Dutch,
by implementing strategic project management methods and
ensuring a work-life balance for his team and family.
Robin believes in mindfulness in the workplace being the
key to success, he lives out through his interests in
yoga, meditation, sport, and travel.
Andrew Whotton
Co-Founder and chief visionary, Andrew is
the driving force behind Duke & Dutch being at the HQ
from the birth of the company. He loves to keep his
hands full by participating in the development of the
software, in-depth marketing campaigns, and ongoing
customer experience strategies. Andrew is one of the
lucky people in life who can say he loves what he does.
He oversees all movements of the Duke & Dutch gift
corporation.
Andrew has worked with clients big and
small around the world. His love of travel and breadth
of experience informs and directs his work.
