About Us
We were founded to empower pet parents to
take full control of their pets’ health and wellbeing.
Our mission is simple: to make pet care more affordable
and accessible for pet parents everywhere.
We will do our best to do right by our
customers, and always work to make pet care better for
all.
We recognise that no two pets are the
same, which is why we offer truly personalised care to
each individual pet through the Joii Pet Care app.
Mental Health
Core to Joii’s mission, we aim to improve
mental health across the veterinary industry.
Veterinary surgeons in the UK are 3-4
times more likely than the general population to die by
suicide (Platt et al., 2010). By providing a workplace
that puts the mental health of veterinary professionals
first, we believe we can make a difference.
How do we do this? By allowing our team
to work wherever they want, at times that are flexible
to suit their needs.
As our team work across multiple
timezones (we even have vets in Australia!), none of our
vets and nurses work unsociable hours. This gives them
more time to relax and the freedom to spend time with
loved ones.
Animal Welfare
We believe in a need to improve animal
welfare across the globe, which is why
we are working hard to make a positive impact, both
through the care that we offer our customers and through
charitable endeavours.
We are proud to support:
• Dogs for Autism
• Thin Blue Paw Foundation
• PDSA
Dogs for Autism
Dogs for Autism train and provide
assistance dogs, at no charge, to autistic individuals
of any age who will significantly benefit from such a
partnership. Their dogs can enable their people to more
easily access the world around them and to expand their
horizons.
The charity’s overall aim is to empower
autistic people to realise their individual potential,
improve their access to their chosen communities, and to
enhance their emotional and physical wellbeing.
Joii support Dogs for Autism by offering
free vet care to all autism assistance dogs.
Thin Blue Paw
Many people are unaware that retired
police dogs do not receive financial support in their
retirement from the force they served with, meaning the
responsibility for their care and vet bills fall solely
to their ex-handler or new owner. Unable to get pet
insurance due to their working life, many are left with
ongoing vet bills which can amount to thousands.
The Thin Blue Paw Foundation protect,
celebrate & rehabilitate both serving and retired Police
dogs from across the United Kingdom.
In partnership with Animal Friends
Insurance, Joii
are supporting Thin Blue Paw by offering free vet
consults to all retired police dogs in the foundation.
